On the following pages you will see a demonstration of a joint project to be carried out by the Medical University of Lübeck, FRG, Department of Psychiatry as a WHO Collaborating Center for Training and Research in Mental Health and the Fachhochschule Lübeck.
In this project the Clinical-Diagnostic Guidelines from Chapter V (F) of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) of WHO, together with the Research Criteria, are converted into a hypertext document.
Thus, the needs of Psychiatry for a complex reference manual, like ICD-10, shall be met by making use of the Internet / WWW and its special features like accessibility, actuality, searching for information by keywords, cross-references etc., collecting and exchange of comments.
The following pages show a small, preliminary version, based on a few paragraphs of the text, far from being complete, of course. These pages, as we hope, give an impression of the structure, and the specific features of a WWW-hypertext document when applied to a psychiatric text.
